Financial Support Options FOR OT
Thrive Paediatric Occupational Therapy fees fall within the parameters of the NDIA hourly rate of $193.99 per hour, ensuring that there is no out-of-pocket expense for our NDIS clients. We have chosen to keep our private fees in line with the NDIA hourly rate, however this is subject to change. NB: GST is applied as required.
There are several different ways to access financial support to cover some or all of your Occupational Therapy sessions and your local GP or Paediatrician may be able to assist and support you in sourcing several of these.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Thrive Paediatric OT can provide OT services for children who have funding allocated under the support category, Improved Daily Living and Capacity Building. We accept Self-Managed and Plan Managed participants.
You will need to contact the NDIA to determine if your child is eligible for an NDIS plan. We are happy to assist you with this process.
Private Health Care Cover
If you have ‘Extras’ cover for Occupational Therapy your private health fund may reimburse a certain amount of your OT fee.
If you are entitled to a rebate, please let us know prior to the session as some funds require the therapist to register with them specifically.
Clients are responsible for the remaining gap fee.
GP Chronic Conditions Management Plan (GPCCMP)
Ask your GP if your child is eligible for a GPCCMP (previously called an Enhanced Primary Care Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan). Your child may be eligible for up to 5x individual OT sessions per year, and you will be rebated a certain amount per visit by Medicare.
We must receive your GPCCMP prior to your OT session for you to be eligible for a rebate.
Clients are responsible for the gap fee.
Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder Plan (CNDD)
Ask your GP/Paediatrician if your child is eligible for a CNDD Plan. Services must be a minimum of 50min in length to be eligible for a rebate. Your child may be eligible to access up to 20x individual OT sessions over a lifetime, and will be rebated a certain amount per visit by Medicare.
We must receive your CNDD prior to your OT session for you to be eligible for a rebate.
Clients are responsible for the gap fee.
