Jacqueline Bellet
Occupational Therapist, BHSc MOT
Jacqui has a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Occupational Therapy from Charles Darwin University. She has been working in the paediatric occupational therapy space since 2021, and before that gained valuable experience working in intensive care, acute and post-acute hospital and community care rehab settings for adults and older adults, both in Australia and the UK. At university, Jacqui earned multiple Commonwealth awards for her high GPA and continues to be eager to learn at a high level to benefit her clients. She’s also a certified Australian Learn to Swim Teacher and will be undertaking additional courses for learning to swim with disabilities and neurodiversity to further support our hydrotherapy sessions coming soon!
Jacqui is deeply passionate about helping children and their families thrive at every stage of life - especially during those formative early schooling years. As an AuDHD therapist she has a special interest in Autism and ADHD, and she understands firsthand how essential a supportive community and environment are in making this possible. Jacqui regularly attends professional development courses, and keeps up to date with latest research whilst also listening to Neurodivergent voices. Jacqui’s areas of interests and practice in paediatric OT are broad however she has special interests in Social Participation and Inclusion, Executive Function, Mental Health, PDA, Gestalt Language Processing, Sensory Processing/Regulation, and Handwriting. She also feels strongly towards advocating for health and educational equity, improving accessibility to therapies and supports within systems and adapting environments to make therapeutic impact on a larger scale.
When Jacqui isn’t working, you’ll find her rewatching her favourite tv shows, lazing at the beach, being creative, or planning her next adventure. She loves keeping active at the gym and muay thai, music, a good laugh, finding good coffee, learning new languages, and making memories with her friends, family, fiancé Michael and their adorable puppy, Loki!
