Meet Your Brisbane Paediatric Occupational Therapist

I’m a Brisbane-based Occupational Therapist and the founder of Thrive Paediatric OT. I am passionate about helping children feel safe, confident and capable in their everyday worlds, while supporting families to feel understood and less alone along the way. Drawing on both clinical and lived experience, I offer support that is practical, affirming and tailored to each family’s real-life routines. I value normalising differences, celebrating strengths and interests, and honouring every child’s unique way of doing things.

MY APPROACH

My practice is strengths-based, play-based, neuroaffirming and trauma-informed, and I’m PDA and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) informed. My areas of interest include social participation and inclusion, executive functioning and daily living, sensory processing, emotional regulation and wellbeing, fine and gross motor development, handwriting, and community access. As an AuDHD therapist, I have a particular interest in supporting autistic and ADHD children, and I’m passionate about advocacy, equity, and improving accessibility within health and education systems.

Qualifications & Experience

I have worked in the paediatric space since 2021. Prior to this, I gained broad allied health experience across intensive care, acute and post-acute hospital settings, and community rehabilitation for adults and older adults in both Australia and the UK. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Occupational Therapy from Charles Darwin University, where I received multiple Commonwealth awards for academic excellence. I’m committed to ongoing learning through professional development, research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and listening to neurodivergent voices.

Where I work

Alongside my mobile paediatric OT brisbane appointments — at home, school or via telehealth — I also work a couple of days a week from an allied health clinic as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering another option for families who prefer a clinic setting for appointments.

Outside of work

You’ll usually find me spending time with friends and family, my fiancé Michael and our puppy Loki, staying active at the gym, lazing at the beach, rewatching favourite TV shows, or doing something creative.
